Mock-up of German fighter plane from WWI with rubber band drive. Laser cut parts, propeller, rubber band bundle and covering material. Wingspan 610 mm. Suitable for conversion to RC electric model.

This legendary triplane from 1917 inherently connected with the best fighter of imperial Germany, Manfred Richthofen and his elite fighter squadron Jagdgeschwader I or "Flying Circus" was originally created in response to the admirably skilful British triplane Sopwith Triplane - the Germans did not want to stay behind. Richthofen was given the opportunity to test the first serial piece and in the first two days immediately shot down two enemy aircraft. That was the best recommendation for Fokker's triplane. Although the machine suffered from a number of vices that were dangerous to an ordinary pilot and was actually slower than British or French fighters, in the hands of seasoned fighter veterans who could use his immense dexterity, he became a murderous legend.Free-flying model of WWI fighter triplane designed for rubber beam drive, instructions and plan allow to build the model also as freely flying with 0.33 ccm internal combustion engine or as a detailed ... more »

Although the machine suffered from a number of vices that were dangerous to an ordinary pilot and was actually slower than British or French fighters, in the hands of seasoned fighter veterans who could use his immense dexterity, he became a murderous legend.

Free-flying model of WWI fighter triplane designed for rubber beam drive, instructions and plan allow to build the model also as freely flying with 0.33 ccm internal combustion engine or as a detailed detailed model in museum quality.

The model is a classic all balsa construction in plaster with laser-carved wooden parts, dummy accessories made of vacuum-formed plastic, plastic parts made by injection molding and pre-cut parts of "plastic plywood", lightweight and solid material replacing classic plywood.

The "Fokker" is also suitable for converting to an RC model with an electric drive - although the construction plan does not offer this variant, it should not be a big problem for a more experienced modeller.

Kit contains: balsa laser carved parts, balsa beams, pre-cut parts of plastic plywood, vacuum molded dummy parts (engine cover, engine model ...), plastic propeller with shaft and head, rubber band bundle (rubber bands 5x1mm), plastic wheels, steel string for the landing gear and other small parts, plastic wheels, upholstery paper, sheet of decals and a building plan.
