The FSV series represents a new generation of four-stroke O.S. Engines with valve timing. Compared to the previous FS-Surpass and FS-α engines, they are characterized by a higher power while maintaining the same bay dimensions. That allows benefiting without difficulty from a wide range of model aircraft kits and construction plans designed for O.S. Engines in the last decades.
- The new lubrication system removes the need for crankcase venting, eliminating the overflow hose common in earlier engine generations.
- The new type 61T twin-needle carburettor ensures stable and regular operation throughout the rev range and easy engine tuning. The carburettor can be rotated 180° to direct the main needle to the other side of the engine.
- A new muffler with a larger volume and the ability to adjust the rear exhaust neck to the desired direction provides effective damping and gives the engine a deep, soft sound.
- Separate engine intake and exhaust valve covers offer a more scale-model look.
FS 64V is a four-stroke engine with valve timing designed for model aircraft of all kinds, especially suitable for RC scale models. It is equipped with a twin-needle carburettor type 61T. An expansion muffler type F-4050 is also included in the default assembly. The orientation of the exhaust neck can be changed by rotating the rear of the muffler body by 360°. The orientation of the muffler body and the distance between the cylinder head and the muffler can be adjusted thanks to a threaded adapter.
- The crankshaft is threaded for a UNF 1/4-28 propeller nut, and a set of O.S. locknuts is supplied in the basic engine assembly for reliable propeller mounting.
- Recommended propeller sizes: Sport/Aerobatic: 12x7~8“, 13x6“ / Scale model: 13x7~8“, 14x6“
- Recommended fuel tank: 220–300ml; 200ml tank is enough for 13–14 minutes of flight, assuming you are not constantly flying at full throttle.
- Recommended fuel: at least 18% castor or synthetic oil, 5–20% nitromethane.
- Recommended glowplug: O.S. MAX type F
