The programming card for KAVAN R flight ESCs (also compatible with RAY G2 ESCs) is used for easy and fast programming of ESCs - at home "on the desk" as well as at the airfield. The ESC is connected via a servo cable, the socket is located on the top of the card. The power supply of the card is provided by the BEC stabilizer of the KAVAN R ESC.
WARNING: The KAVAN R LED programming card cannot be used to program the first generation RAY ESCs and the first generation RAY programming card cannot be used to program the KAVAN R ESCs.
KAVAN R ESCs can be programmed in the model with the propeller mounted - for safety reasons, however, we still recommend removing the propeller when programming - this will prevent a possible accident in case of some omission or operator error.
The four buttons at the bottom of the card are used for programming. Use them to select the programming functions to be set and to set their value indicated by the corresponding LED. The "OK" button confirms the change and sends it to the ESC, the "Reset" button is used to clear all settings and return all values to the factory default settings. The status of communication with the ESC is indicated by the "Connecting" LED.
Programming: Disconnect the ESC servo cable from the receiver and then plug it into the socket in the upper right corner of the card marked "BEC". Connect the drive battery to the ESC; the LEDs on the card will light up to show you the current setpoints for each function - and you're ready to adjust!
The list of functions and adjustable values is given on the label on the card, a detailed description of the functions is given in the manuals supplied with the KAVAN R ESCs.
